Zouk in Paradise will take place from Friday 8th December to Monday 11th December 2017 at a private beach property on the north-west coast of Sri Lanka. It is organized by Nayan and Raminho from the Zouk Dubai team.
This will be a unique experience for a selected number of people at this exclusive event. After several successful festivals in the Middle East, we are promoting Zouk and the upcoming dance scene in Sri Lanka. Friends and dancers from around the world are invited to join us for an unforgettable weekend by the beach right under the coconut palm trees. We will enjoy the amazing weather, do Zouk workshops in the afternoons and party throughout the night at our beach hut. You can also dance and chill-out with friends during the day at “The Plantation” pool deck. The Plantation resort offers breakfast and dinner buffet for non-guests, too (please book in advance).
There is a bottle shop 10 mins down the village road, so please bring your own drinks to the night party as we do not sell any alcohol, soft drinks nor food at the dance venue itself.

The festival will take place on private property in a small fisher village away from mass tourism and other hotels/bars. So get ready for an authentic experience and a great starting point for a round trip afterwards.
The place is 90km north of Colombo airport on A3 road towards Puttalam, which usually takes 2.5 hours drive by car depending on traffic. We can help you arrange transport, which will cost about 7,000 LKR per trip/car (about 15 USD per person).
Local train can be taken from Colombo main station to Mangala Eliya or Mudarankuliya station (cheap, but 3-4 hours) plus a 15-20 minutes tuk-tuk drive from there.
We will give you the exact GPS coordinates and directions after you booked your tickets.
Our neighbors have a coconut plantation with 6 bungalows and a large swimming pool as well as an amazing chef. It is about 20 mins beach walk away from our festival location or 5 mins ride by tuk-tuk. Here are some pictures of the place:
The plantation has limited space, so we encourage sharing each bungalow with up to 4 people in order to allow many people to stay close-by.
Those who prefer it cheaper and more adventurous, can bring their own tents and camp directly on the festival site beneath the coconut trees. We have a shower, toilet and kitchen space at the beach hut as well as a small pool. Temperatures range between 22 – 30 degrees with low chances of rain.
There are small road side shops in the village for snacks, soft drinks and toiletries. In the evenings food stalls open offering fried rice and local dishes.
We do not provide food on site, but you can also opt-in to have the half-board package along with the dancers staying at the plantation bungalows (please book in advance).

35 USD per person, apply at least 24 hours in advance (or pay 40 USD cash upon arrival), its valid for 30 days.
Withdraw or exchange cash at Colombo airport or when passing through Chilaw. The nearest bank & ATM is located at Madurankuli junction (20 mins drive from the festival location). We are in a remote village, so you will need to pay in cash everywhere. Check current Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) exchange rate online.
In case the plantation bungalows are already booked out, there are a few other private places listed on AirBnB near Madurankuli, which you can check out: https://www.airbnb.com/s/Madurankuli–North-Western-Province–Sri-Lanka
Kalpitiya is the closest tourist destination with several budget hotels and kite surfing schools, just be aware that it is about 45+ mins drive from there to the festival location and it will be difficult to find tuk-tuk drivers late at night.
